TD Charitable Foundation, the charitable giving arm of TD Bank, announced May 18 it has awarded $175,000 to Upstate Warrior Solution, a local nonprofit that works with Upstate veterans and their families.
The organization will use the funds to support its Stable Housing for Veterans program, which provides:
- Veterans’ families with rental assistance or rehabilitation
- Holistic case management to ensure these families are able to remain stably housed for the long term

“The affordable housing crisis continues to burden the most vulnerable members of our communities and the organizations committed to supporting them,” said Paige Carlson-Heim, TD Charitable Foundation director. “At TD, we’re committed to doing our part to help create a more sustainable and inclusive future for everyone, and that includes providing access to safe, affordable homes. This year’s grant recipients are mission-critical to that work, and the TD Charitable Foundation is proud to support them in their efforts to create a positive impact and a pathway to housing stability in the communities we serve.”
The funds Upstate Warrior Solution received were part of TD Charitable Foundation’s $7 million donation to 37 nonprofits across the U.S. to help preserve affordable housing.
