GREEN Charter Schools announced April 20 two of its new Upstate campuses were approved by the South Carolina Public Charter School District Board of Trustees.
The campuses are scheduled to open in the 2024-2025 school year and will serve as feeder schools to GREEN Upstate High School in Simpsonville, which opened in August 2022.
The two new schools are:
- K-8 campus in Simpsonville
- K-5 campus in Taylors
“The GREEN Board is thrilled with the SCPCSD’s approval of our request to open two new schools,” said GREEN Board Chair Mandy Townes “The future of GREEN Charter Schools is bright as we strive to bring the highest quality educational experience to students across the state of S.C. I am extremely proud of the work the executive leadership team, administration, staff, students and our families have done to put us in this position of growth. We look forward to being able to serve even more students in the Upstate.”
GREEN Charter Schools opened in 2013 and operates five schools across South Carolina. The school network is projected to enroll over 2,500 students in the 2023-2024 school year.
